Donna E. DeCarlo

Donna E. DeCarlo, 79, of New Castle passed away the morning of January 9, 2026 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Born in New Castle on March 13, 1946, Donna was the daughter of the late William F. and Loretta (Rita) Altman Llewellyn.
Donna had been married to her beloved husband of fifty-five years, Ernest DeCarlo. Ernest preceded her in death on April 19, 2019. Prior to moving back to New Castle, Ernie and Donna made their home in Wilmington Delaware for 45 years where they had many loving friends and family.
In the early years Donna had worked for Valu King and Big J Supermarkets. A woman of many talents and skills, Donna had also done various other jobs throughout her work career.
Donna enjoyed going to Bingo and cooking for her family. Donna also enjoyed dancing the jitterbug with her beloved Ernie and they would often put on a show at family events. A loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother family was number one and her world revolved around them, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her three children, Ernie DeCarlo, Alan DeCarlo (Donna) and Jeff DeCarlo (Dottie), three brothers, William Llewellyn (Carol), Carl Llewellyn and Steve Llewellyn (Renee), her sister, Deb Llewellyn, her three grandchildren, Matthew DeCarlo (Jaclyn), AJ DeCarlo (Jess) and Jason Johns (Gwen), and four great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Brayden, Matthew and Jackson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Mumford and Jenni Llewellyn and her daughter-in-law, Liz DeCarlo.
Honoring her wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.
