Barbara Eckles Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. - Mill Street on Mar. 7, 2026.
Barbara Dando Eckles, born August 13, 1944, to Patsy Dando, Alice ( Elsie) Casciato passed away peacefully March, 6,2026 surrounded by the love of the family she cherished above all else.

Barbara was the beloved sister of Carol McGeary, Robert Dando and his wife Nina, who was like a second sister to Barbara and always just a phone call away for whatever she needed, and the lifelong partner of Frank Klamut. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Shawna and her son Patrick, and a cherished grandmother to Ambra, Alexandria (TJ) Dial and Johnny (Maria) Ridenbaugh. She was also the proud great-grandmother of KeAnna, Alexia & Jazzmyne who brought immense joy to her life.

Barbara lived life to the fullest. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was always ready for an adventure. Barbara also enjoyed playing cards with her family and visiting casinos. Anyone who knew Barb knew how much she loved Elvis Presley. At the age of 79, her lifelong dream came true when her great-granddaughters KeAnna and Alexia took her to visit the Elvis Presley mansion.

Barbara will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her infectious laugh, and her adventurous spirit. She brought joy and warmth to everyone who knew her and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

Rest in peace, our beautiful Queenie.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Parkside Cemetery.
