Keith Gerweck Obituary
Born February 22, 1955 in Monroe, Keith was the son of the late James and Shirley (Ellerman) Gerweck. He graduated from Ida High School in 1974 and attended Monroe County Community College. On May 14, 1976, he married Mary L. Schroeder in Ida.
Keith was employed for approximately 25 years in the maintenance department at Monroe County Community College. He was an avid bicyclist and often rode with his friends of TNT Cycling and Monroe County Cycling. Keith also enjoyed motorcycling, kayaking, scuba diving, and tinkering in his garage.
Keith is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Sarah Gerweck of Monroe; brother, Terry (Mary) Gerweck of Monroe; two sisters, Louise (Leo) Malvitz of Carleton and Amy (Allen) Dean of Ida; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Keith was preceded in death by an infant brother, Marty.
Family and friends may visit from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 2nd at Bacarella Funeral Home where a memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Rev. Mark Duerr, Associate Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Private interment in the Butterfly Garden at Roselawn Memorial Park will occur at a later date.
For anyone wanting to make a donation in memory of Keith, the family suggests supporting the Humane Society of Monroe County.
