Keith A Hofer, 73, of Connersville, passed away on Jan. 17, 2026. Keith was born on March 19, 1952, and is the son of the late August and Grace Hofer. On March 4, 1974, he married Eunice Gabbard.
Keith dedicated more than 37 years to the Fayette County Highway Department before retiring in December 2011.
Keith had a great sense of humor. He was always laughing and saw the best side of people and every situation. Keith had a love for building things, he built a house, trucks and rat rods with his son and enjoyed the special time they spent together. Keith had a passion for horses. He loved to go camping and trail riding with his family. In his later years, he was competitive in lawn mower pulling.
Keith will be greatly missed by his wife, Eunice and his son, Keith A. Hofer Jr. and wife, Rhonda; two grandchildren, Michael (Sierra) Hofer and Brandon (Brea) Hofer; six great grandchildren, Diesel Hofer, Lane Hofer, Briaer Dowset, JorJa Hofer, Waylan Hofer and Cambrie Hofer; one brother, Danny (Vickie) Valentine; as well as many friends.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation for Keith will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, 513 W 8th St. Connersville, IN from 11:00am until 1 p.m. A funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Orange North Cemetery.
