Keith Holtzclaw Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Funeral & Cremation Care from Sep. 23 to Oct. 1, 2025.
Keith Allen Holtzclaw, 75. of Westover, who was born in Fort Branch, Gibson County, Indiana on September 18, 1950, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at his residence in Westover.
Keith was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country during the Vietnam War. His professional life was devoted to the Kleebs Music Store, where he worked for 30 years, lastly as their Operations Manager. This role allowed him to support music students by ensuring they had access to the music they needed and he was instrumental in planning student concerts at the WVU Creative Arts Center. Prior to his work at the music store, Keith served in Emergency Services in Indiana. Keith's love for education and the arts was further reflected in his personal achievements. He earned two Master's degrees in English Literature and Teaching and utilized these skills to teach English in Parsons, WV.
Keith is preceded in death by his father, Alvis Holtzclaw and his mother, Evelyn Jessie Holzclaw.
Although Keith leaves no known family, he is survived by his dear friends Robert and Linda Kleeb, Leah and Steve Stroupe who provided care and support for him over many years, and several other friends and acquaintances.
Keith will be laid to rest privately at the West Virginia National Cemetery as per his request, with no formal services.
We encourage those who knew Keith to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page, as a celebration of his life.
