Mr. Aaron Keith Hooper, age 65, of Smithville, TN, died Saturday, June 08, 2024, at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN. He was born October 06, 1958, in McMinnville, TN, was a retired employee of the State of Tennessee, and a member of Newtown The Baptist Church. Keith had the privilege to work 10 years as a personal assistant to Margaret Robinson, the founder of the Nashville Metro Library and cofounder of the Ensworth School. He attended numerous fundraising events for the City of Nashville. He loved working in the yard, enjoyed landscaping and tending to his flower garden and was an outdoors nature enthusiast. Mr. Hooper was preceded in death by his parents Aaron Tennessee Hooper and Mattie Lucille Luna Hooper.
Survivors include his sister Denise (Frank) Randolph, nephews Nathan (Deseree) Randolph and Luke (Amanda) Randolph, great nephews and nieces Reece Pennington, Granville Ours, Jackson Randolph, Walter Randolph, and Hazel Sue Randolph, and very special friend Judy Wilson Ester and her husband Michael. Many family friends also survive.
Funeral services were conducted June 13, 2024, in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Darrell Cantrell officiated. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
