Lindquist Mortuary - SyracuseKeith Edward LaRue Jr., age 59 of Syracuse, Utah, devoted son, caring uncle and loving brother died suddenly Saturday, August 16, 2025, at this home.
He was born November 13, 1965, in St. Clair, Michigan, son of Keith Edward Sr. and Jeanne M. Bowman LaRue.
A member of the Syracuse Meadow Ward in Syracuse. He served a two-year mission to Roanoke, VA from 1985 to 1987 and was employed by C.M. Steel in Clearfield just prior to his death.
He enjoyed the mountains, camping, and horseback riding, but his greatest love was fishing. While not an easy riser, Eddie could be ready in an instant when fishing was on the menu for the day.
Whether he was roasting marshmallows with his sister on a 100-watt lightbulb, or playing in the snow, or ice skating, he enjoyed life util the mental illness of bi-polar entered his life. He is now at peace and free from the disease that plagued him for years.
His love for his children and their care was highly important to Eddie. He loved all his nieces and nephews and felt ALL children were special and deserved to be treated as special. When kids were around, Eddie could always be ‘hit up’ for chocolate milk, Doritos, or popcorn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith LaRue Sr., nephews Kayden Bise, and Carter Atwood, his loyal and loving dog, Sassy, and his horse, Charlotte.
He is survived by his mother Jeanne LaRue of Syracuse, his sister Romona J. McQuivy (Kyle) of Idaho, and his dog J.Cash, three nieces and one nephew: Shaunna L. Ludlow (Zachariah), Krystal N. Bise (Lance), Jessica C. Ringler (Matthew), David E. Lore Jr. (Mary Ann) and great nieces and nephews Darlene E. Lore, Mattie J. Ringler, Lucy R. Ringler, Isabelle Atwood, Hanna Lore, Leroy P. Lore, Warren J. Ludlow, Jackson D. Ludlow, Logan D. Ludlow, Clark P. Ringler, and Liam J. E. Lore.
Friends are welcome at a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September6, 2025, at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1250 South 1000 West, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers a donation to a reliable children’s organization or food bank are welcome.
