NORTH PROVIDENCE,RI -Keith A.Lightfoot, 51, of Carl Avenue died Sunday morning, August 13, 2006 of injuries sustained after being hit by an automobile while walking with his wife on Saturday in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Denise (Demers) Lightfoot.
Born January 20, 1955 in Attleboro, he was a son of Paul Lightfoot of Ft. Pierce, FL and the late Sandra (Langille) Lightfoot and step-son of the late Dorothy M. (Cochrane) Lightfoot. He has been a resident of North Providence the past three years and he grew up in North Attleboro and also lived in Plainville several years.
Keith was a self-employed contractor in Rhode Island and Massachusetts for several years. He graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1972 and received an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence in 1974.
Keith was an avid fisherman and loved sports, especially baseball. He was devoted to his family and his animals: Naomi, Alex, Molly and Flash. In addition to his wife of 23 years and father, survivors include a sister, Cheryl Vadala of North Attleboro; four nephews, AJ, Matthew, Mark and Joe; a niece, Lonie; also survived by several sisters and brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 4 p.m in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. Memorial visitation will be held prior to the service from 2-4 p.m.in the funeral home. Immediately following the memorial service a reception will be held. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter 43 North Washington St, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
