Kevin Murphy Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sperry-McHoul-Pichi Funeral Home on Mar. 11, 2026.
MASHPEE – Kevin Patrick Murphy, 52, of Mashpee, formerly of Madison, Maine and North Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was the beloved husband for 22 years of the late Rebecca M. "Becky" (Leach) Murphy, who passed away on July 19, 2019. Kevin shared a deep and enduring love with his late wife Becky, and their life together remained one of his most cherished memories.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on July 16, 1973, he was a loving son of David R. and Christine M. (Gagnon) Murphy of Mashpee. Kevin grew up in the Attleboro Falls section of North Attleboro and was a 1991 graduate of North Attleboro High School.

Kevin worked as a carpenter for many years and had been employed by various construction companies from Maine to Massachusetts, most recently Cape Wide Construction.

A true outdoorsman, Kevin enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting, particularly during the time he spent in Maine. He loved motorcycles and was especially proud of his Harley-Davidson Street Glide, his prized bike which he called "Candy." He also enjoyed four-wheel driving in his Jeeps. Kevin was a great cook and an extremely patriotic and proud American. He was an avid hockey fan, especially of the Boston Bruins. Above all, Kevin was happiest when spending time with his two daughters, who were the center of his world.

In addition to his loving parents, David and Christine, he is survived by his beloved daughters, Lauren Murphy and Allison Murphy, both of Mashpee. He was the dear brother of Matthew Murphy and his wife Linda of Canterbury, New Hampshire, and Jennifer Kubinski and her husband Stanley of North Easton. He also leaves many aunts and uncles, as well as several nieces and nephews.

His funeral, to which relatives and friends are most warmly invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 beginning with visitation from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the SPERRY-MCHOUL-PICHI FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro, followed by a prayer service at 12:00 PM in the funeral home officiated by the Reverend David A. Costa, pastor of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish in North Attleboro. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
