Keith Brian Lindner, 57, of Mizpah, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center in Bemidji, MN.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23 at 11:00 AM at the Northome Public School with Rev. Luke Berntson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00, one hour prior to the service at the school. Interment will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Mizpah, MN.
Keith was born on August 29, 1967 in Bigfork, Minnesota, the son of Ronald and Tanna (Siats) Lindner. He attended Mizpah Elementary and graduated from Northome High School in 1985. He also attended the University of Minnesota, Crookston, Bemidji State University and the Continental Auctioneers School of Auctioneering. Keith married Mary Blegen on June 22, 1996 in Waskish, MN. Keith was a hard worker and worked many jobs over the years. He worked for Minnesota Cattle in Mentor, MN & Minnesota Roofing in Bemidji, MN. He co-owned and operated Husky Roofing of Northome. He also owned and operated Lindner Auctioneering of Northome. Keith also worked for Bemidji Outdoor Power Equipment as a salesman. He also worked for various Northome Loggers over the years. He most recently worked for North Central Research and Outreach Cattle Center in Grand Rapids, MN, Killmer Brothers Logging for 25+ years and worked the last 5 summer construction seasons working for Gladen Construction. Keith was a member of the Minnesota Trappers Association and the Bethesda Lutheran Church of Mizpah. He was a past member of the Northome School Board. He volunteered numerous hours for the Koochiching County Fair. He volunteered as a 4H leader and for Mizpah Community Events. In the past he also coached youth baseball and was a trapping certification instructor. Keith's passion was the outdoors. He could often be found hunting, fishing, trapping or preparing for the upcoming trapping season. In his younger years he also enjoyed roping at the Effie Rodeo. He also had a passion for woodworking and carving spear decoys. Keith was a huge hockey fan (Go Beavers! Go Wild!). He especially loved spending time with his family and that new granddaughter was the apple of his eye. This is not Goodbye, Just see you later, Love you big bunches, Mary, Levi, Lane, Erica and Scarlett.
Keith is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lindner of Mizpah, MN; 2 sons, Lane (Erica) Lindner, granddaughter, Scarlett of Brainerd, MN and Levi Lindner of Mizpah, MN; parents, Ron and Tanna Lindner of Mizpah, MN; sisters, Renate (Phil) Shriner of Rochester, MN and Roxy (Rick) Anderson of Mora, MN; 2 brothers, Bruce (Kris) Lindner of Zimmerman, MN and Kent (Kim) Lindner of Northome, MN; aunt, Tootie Lindner of Mizpah, MN, aunt Marietta Lindner of Isanti, MN, brother-in-law, Harold (Robin) Blegen of McGrath, MN; sister-in-law, Betty (Jeff) Halverson of Laporte, MN; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew; and a lot of friends.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Sylvester and Roxanna Siats; paternal grandparents, Henry and Amelia Lindner; aunts, Sylvia Fleming and Kay Siats; uncle, Byrd Lindner; uncle, Laurel Lindner; and uncles and aunts, Bud and Irma Lindner, Vic and Nita Nelson & Howard and Irene Lindner; father and mother-in law, Harold and Betty Blegen; brothers-in-law, Stan Blegen and Jerry Blegen; sister-in-law, Patty Blegen; and many more uncles, aunts and cousins
