Keith Eugene Lucas

Keith Eugene Lucas, age 65, of Oskaloosa, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home in Oskaloosa. He was born on January 9, 1961, in Oskaloosa, the son of Phillip and Joyce (Sopher) Lucas. He attended Oskaloosa Schools.

Keith worked in manufacturing for several places. He was lastly working as a painter and all-around handyman. Keith was a hard worker, he also enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, cribbage, and above all else, spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Stormy Lucas of Iron River, Michigan, Ginger (Brian) Fisher of Ottumwa, Shawn (Misty Sikes) Lucas of What Cheer, Keith Lucas Jr of Des Moines and Cody (Fiancée Lynzee Adam) of Fairfield; his grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew, Anthony, Austin Lucas, Aalyiah Lucas, Jocelyn Lucas, Blake Lucas, Maddix Lucas, and Delany Lucas; three sisters, Rose Weeks of Florida, Phyllis Wharton of Oskaloosa and Cindy Williams of Oskaloosa, and a brother Gary Ross of Fairfield.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Phillip Russell Lucas Jr. a sister, Connie Sue Scott; 2 brothers in law, Dean Weeks and Ron Wharton and three nephews: Andrew Nichols, Kenny Gideon and Phillip Gideon.

As was his wish, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held on a later date at the 4 Real Church in Oskaloosa with pastor Paul Williams officiating. The Bates Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family.
