Keith M. Lust, 70, died June 7, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. He was born November 28, 1954, in Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Marvin and Joyce (Karst) Lust. Keith was baptized & confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church, Hoisington, Kansas. He graduated from Hoisington High School in 1972 and then earned a degree in architectural engineering and construction science from K-State University.
After graduation Keith moved to Orlando Florida working for Walker & Co., where he just retired this last December 2024. Having a green thumb, Keith enjoyed growing all sorts of veggies in his garden and then canning and sharing them with others. He was also known to be a master of the grill. You dared not interrupt him when he was cheering on his K-State Wildcats, and he wore his purple proudly in Florida.
On November 9, 2002, he married Carol Gough in Las Vegas, Nevada. They shared 23 years together.
He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; stepson, James Gough of Oak Hills, California; stepdaughter, Suzanne Carter and husband Mike of Anaheim, California; and 5step grandsons and one step great grandchild; his mother, Joyce Lust of Hoisington; two sisters, Gail Lust of Great Bend, and Kathryn McAtee of Yukon, Oklahoma; two nephews, many aunts and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Lust.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 9th, 2025, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Hoisington, with Pastor Gary Wolf presiding. Inurnment will follow in Hoisington Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church or donor's choice in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington KS 67544.
