Obituary
Keith Nelson Sr. was born to Keith Foreman and Mary Jean Nelson on January 27, 1974, in Indianapolis, Indiana. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his savior and attended New Hope Missionary Baptist Church throughout his childhood. Keith received his formal education in both the Wayne and Indianapolis Public School (IPS) systems and received his high school diploma from Northwest High School in 1992. Throughout his childhood, he remained active as a member of Atkins Boys Club, Pal Club as well as participating in sports throughout his Junior high and high school years.
After graduating high school, Keith was employed at Daimler Chrysler of Indianapolis working in the Core Knockout Department for many years. However, one of his proudest accomplishments was receiving his CDLs and began driving the school bus for Pike Township. Later, Keith worked for the City of Indianapolis Department of Public Works and was promoted to Crew Leader. Keith was the proud sole owner of Lawn and Order Lawncare, LLC.
Keith had an eye for design and fashion, a love for shoes and thoroughly enjoyed listening to old school music. His love of music started him on his creative journey as a deejay. He was affectionately known as "DJ Buckwild" and was a well-respected D.J. around the city. He deejayed everything from Greek parties, graduations, night clubs and weddings and loved to share his talent with others. Keith loved watching his favorite basketball team, the LA Lakers, and was often spotted wearing his favorite Lakers gear. Although Keith engaged in many activities he loved and enjoyed his family. He enjoyed bringing the family together for the holidays, especially Christmas and planning family, school, and community reunions. Keith was very social and could relate to anyone he met and/or encountered. He never met a stranger and always had a good story to tell.
Our hearts were deeply saddened on Saturday, July 29, 2023, when Keith departed this world. He was preceded in death by his children Kristopher and Kierra; parents, Keith Foreman and Mary Jean Nelson; grandparents, Florence Nelson and James Ross.
Keith Sr. memory will be cherished by his fiancé, Jamie; sons, Keith Nelson Jr. Juwann, Jamaal and Kobe; daughters, Lareyna, K'Lynn, Jordan, and Trinity; grandchildren, Kanai, Octavia, Octavious and Karysn. Sisters Florence "Niesha", Me'Chelle and Teola; aunts, JoAnn Radford (Lyn), Terrina Jordan (Michael) Ramona Moore, and Carolyn; Branson, Sherry Mosley Uncles Dennis Ross, Darryl Ross, Lawrence Ross nieces, Chamaree' and Brittana; nephew, Corey; special cousin, Leroy "Lamont" and special childhood friends Earl, Keith, Kenny, Antuan, Ray, Lamar, Al, and Jackie who were the epitome of true friends, an enormous family filled with aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

One of the coolest bruthas I knew going to Northwest and outside of school as well. Always ran into him on different occasions, the old C&A's, jazz in the park at Watkins, old Lafayette Square, just about anywhere. Last time I saw him was 2 years ago at Lincoln school where my daughter was practicing for basketball camp and he was there as well with his daughter. Just a great dude, never a dull moment when we hung. Gonna miss that guy. Rest up Homie!

The Loss Of A Loved One

The loss of a loved one is so hard to face.
You just want to hide,
go somewhere and escape!
But death is something
we all must go through.
I know it's hard
when it's someone you loved and knew.

Just know now,
he is in a better place.
No more hurt or pain shall he face.
It seems unfair, and yes, this is true,
but he is in Heaven now
watching over me and you!

God has called him home to rest!!
And he's being well taken care of
Because God knows best!

Keith you will me missed but never forgot
miss seeing you at Walmart "buying them sheets." "WHAT'S UP CUZ" ?

LOVE YA TANYA
