Keith Leon Pack, (89) passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023.
Keith was born to Don and Retta Pack on February 24, 1934, in Shelley Idaho. Keith lived on The Project near Shelley, while he lived there Keith loved to search for rattlesnakes and arrowheads near the lava rocks, after about 10 years Keith moved to Idaho Falls. He lived with his three brothers and sister, Donald, Robert (Bob), Dean, and Bonnie. Keith met Marva at a dance and then later worked together on the spud fields. They were married October 22, 1952, and then sealed together in the Salt Lake temple for time and all eternity on November 21, 1974. They had five amazing kids: Randy, Nona, Tim, Terry, and DeAnne. While his kids grew up, he loved to go snowmobiling and even raced snow mobiles during his lifetime. He loved camping and being outdoors whether it was summer or winter.
After Keith and Marva got married Keith became a member of the trucking industry. He was a great driver and respected by many other truckers. He accomplished a lot in his trucking career. He was awarded the Million Miler safety award from his job and received a leather-bound logbook. He was later chosen among many other truckers to drive the matlack Centennial truck. One of the reasons he was chosen for this task was because he was known as not only and amazing driver, but a driver that would take care of the truck. He took this truck over many different places in the West and along the West Coast, to advertise the matlack company and what they stood for. He was known as the Silver Fox throughout his 47 years of trucking. Keith's favorite job of all was the oil spreading for matlack. He got these jobs, by being requested because he was great at what he did and took pride in his work.
Keith is predeceased by his parents Don and Retta; his siblings Donald, Robert (Bob), Dean, Bonnie; his two sons Randy and Tim.
Keith is survived by his wife Marva, three children Nona (Karl) Galloway, Terry (Susie) Pack, DeAnne Thomas, his 10 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
