Keith Richard Shepherd
July 28, 1954 – November 11, 2025
Keith Richard Shepherd, 71, of Brainerd, Minnesota, passed away on November 11, 2025. Born in Brainerd on July 28, 1954, Keith spent his life rooted in the community he loved.
A proud graduate of Brainerd High School, Keith attended St. Cloud Vocational School, where he studied carpentry and honed the skills that would become his lifelong profession. A carpenter by trade and a craftsman at heart, Keith poured his skill and dedication into every project he touched.
Keith met the love of his life, Lynn (Brick), during those early years. Their connection was instant and enduring. Their partnership built on friendship, laughter, and mutual respect. They married soon after and shared 49 years together.
Above all else, he was the #1 cheerleader for his kids, his pride and joy— never missing a game, performance, or moment to show his support.
Keith was a man defined by hard work, loyalty, and love. He was devoted to his family and friends, proud of his children and grandchildren, and always ready with a smile (and maybe a story) to share by the lake or around a bonfire. He found joy in simple pleasures; time at the lake, happy hours with good company, grilling on summer evenings, and cheering on his favorite local or professional Minnesota sports teams.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn Shepherd (Brick); his children, Morgan (Jessie) Shepherd, Whitney (Eddie) Massee, and Bronson (Melissa) Shepherd; and his grandchildren: Ellison, Bennett, Emmslie, Fallon, Jennings, Palmer, Colbie, and Baby Boy Massee.
Keith is also survived by his siblings: Kenn (Lori) Shepherd, Steve (Laurie) Shepherd, Donette Shepherd, Nancy (Pete) Schwegel, Sheila (Donny) Reisner, and Shawn (Karla Johnson) Shepherd.
He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Janette Shepherd (Christensen) and Baby Sister Shepherd.
Keith’s legacy lives on in the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the countless lives he touched.
