Keith Michael Smith, 42, of Knifley, KY passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at his residence. He was born on May 14, 1983, in Kankakee, IL to Michael and Jill (Rocknowski) Smith of Knifley, KY who survives.

Mr. Smith was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed rebuilding cars, woodworking and liked to keep busy and tinker in his shed. He was a man of many talents and learned all his trades from his dad. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends; he was known for never meeting a stranger, always joking and talking to everyone. He also loved his animals "Kona & Baby Girl".

Survivors include his parents Michael and Jill Smith of Knifley, KY; his daughter Leah Grace Smith; siblings Maressa Bresler (Anthony) and Klinton Smith (Gabbi); four nieces Ashlynn, Elizabeth, Kassidy and Rowan; aunts and uncles Beth and Dave Bean, Debi Kempen, Becky Bonds, Kim and Don Smith, Russell and Deb Rocknowski, Robin and Joe Monik, Darrin and Cindy Rocknowski, Wendy and John Smith, Ed and Anna Smith, Jim and Dawn Smith, Teresa and Dave Pollack, Robert Smith and Dan Arceo and numerous cousins.

Keith was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles and Elizabeth Rocknowski, paternal grandparents Alfred and Elois Smith, cousins Gary Waller, JR and Callie Smith, uncles Jim Bonds and Darrell Brandon and an aunt Linda Smith.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with burial in the Robinson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00am Thursday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

Mike Jill and family,
They always say that it's a loss to lose a TV or movie star. But rarely speak of those lost that truly touch our lives.
Keith my not have been famous but he did touch so many in his life. As did your entire family.
He was a dear friend and a part of my family even if only for a brief moment in time.
