Mr. Keith Wayne Whipple, Sr., 81, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 at his residence. He was born on January 29, 1944 in Lansing, MI to Earl Whipple and Ruby Lindaur Whipple.
Keith proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He spent his career in sales in the food industry. While employed for Sysco, he received the Salesman of the Year Award. He went on to work for himself and opened up Papa's Pizza in Grenada. He also enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, camping, sports, remodeling, and yes, his Bourbon. He was a member of Christ Community Church in Grenada.
In 1965 he married his wife Violet and they began their new lives together. Creating a life together, they were blessed with a large family, including two children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Keith is survived by his wife of over sixty years, Violet H. Whipple; son, Keith Wayne Whipple, Jr.(Melissa) of Denver, N.C.; daughter, Deborah Preston(Greg) of Grenada; grandchildren, Delaney Whipple, Zack Whipple, Kaelob Preston, Klayton Preston, and Kendall Preston; great-grandchildren, Nolan Robinson, Levi Preston, Lawson Preston, and Webb Preston; brother, Jake Whipple; sister, Sally Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ken Whipple and Tom Whipple.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Christ Community Church in Grenada.
