Kelly C Bateman

Kelly C. Bateman passed away unexpectedly in the early hours of Saturday, March 30, 2024. 

Kelly was born in Ogden, Utah on January 26, 1964 to Dennis and Elaine Bateman. He grew up in Roy, Utah around many friends and family before the family relocated to California where he graduated from Lompoc High School. 

 

Kelly began his military career with the U.S Army from 1982-1992. After serving full-time in the military, he also served as a reservist while attending the police academy and becoming a guard for the Brigham City Sheriff Department. In 1992 he began his journey with Utility Trailer for the next 32 years. Where he made many friends. 

 

On June 1, 2001 he married Donna Rae Muir, becoming an instant father to a spicy, spunky, and fun son James (Jimmy) Wheeler. Later in life they received a special gift, a baby girl named Kylee Christina. 

 

Everyone who knew Kelly knew how much he loved camping, fishing, dancing, history, skiing, rock music, attending concerts, sports especially Raiders and Utah Jazz. Kelly had a soft spot for his furry friends, treating each and every one like a valuable family member. What Kelly loved the most was spending time with family and friends. 

 

Kelly will always be remembered for his funny, happy, outgoing, loving and loud personality. As well as the big bear hugs he gave to everyone. We couldn’t have asked for a better spouse, parent, grandparent, sibling, uncle, and friend we'll miss Kelly every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. 

 

Kelly is preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Elaine Bateman and sister Gaye Jean. He is survived by his wife Donna Bateman, son Jimmy Wheeler (Kasandra), daughter Kylee Bateman (Gabe), granddaughter Keda. Also, his siblings; LeeAnn Berkman (John), Dennise Morris (Greg), Dennis Bateman (Laureen), Laurie Bateman (Paul). With many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews who loved and adored him. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Lindquist’s Syracuse  Mortuary, 869 S 2000 W, Syracuse, UT 84075. The family will meet with friends on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 6 -8 p.m. and Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 12:30-1:45pm at the mortuary.

 

Kelly will be cremated with burial at Clinton Cemetery at a later time. 

 

**In honor of Kelly please wear your favorite Raiders, Utah Jazz, or rock band attire.
