Kelly Leigh Blankenship, 64, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on August 24, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 2, 1960 in Fullerton, California to Edward and Marilyn (Soule) Blankenship. She had a passion for learning and creativity, whether it was trying her hand at drawing or exploring new ideas. She loved watching cooking shows and finding inspiration in the kitchen. Her heart was deeply devoted to growing in her faith in Christ and sharing of His goodness. In addition to her parents, Kelly is preceded in death by her sister, Karen Chavez. Survivors include her daughters, Lauren Shearer and Alexandra Frias (husband, Emilio); sister, Pamela Joachim; nephews, Matthew Joachim and Ryan Chavez. Kelly's legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Rebekah Weatherall, Anaiah & Aiden Shearer and Liam, Naomi & Zion Frias. A service celebrating Kelly's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to help the family during this time.
