Kelly Renee Jones, daughter, mother, aunt, passed away on June 26, 2024, leaving behind kindness and love, Kelly was born on April 12, 1972, in Cincinnati, Ohio to her parents Bruce C Jones Sr. and Wilma Jones. In her formative years in San Antonio, TX, she attended Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1990.
Kelly had an appreciation for the simple joys life. She enjoyed leisurely walks on the beach, searching for unique seashells. Her creative spirit shone through her passion for arts and crafts. Music held a special place in Kelly's heart particularly classic rock tunes. Known for her compassionate nature, Kelly was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her generosity touched lives of many and made an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In remembrance of Kelly's life, a visitation will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi on July 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM followed by a celebration of Life from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at this location.
Kelly was preceded in death by her father Bruce C. Jones Sr., her mother Wilma Jones, brothers Bruce C. Jones Jr., Ronald Jones and sister Jeannette Jones. She is survived by her children Danielle Jones, Charles Smothers. Cherishing fond memories of Kelly are her niece Corey Offenbacker, nephew Keelan Jones, sisters Nancy Jernigan and Barbara Willis; niece Michelle Jernigan and Amanda Jernigan; nephews Bobby Jernigan, Andrew Jernigan and Travis Jernigan.
A beacon of love extinguished too soon from this world but forever glowing in the hearts of those knew her best. May Kelly Renee Jones rest in eternal peace knowing she truly was one of a kind.
