Kelly Ricks Obituary

PLYMOUTH - Kelly M. Ricks, 49, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026. She was born on Nov. 15, 1976 at Plymouth Parkview Hospital to David and Catherine (Siddall) Hamann.
Kelly loved to sing and participated in the choir throughout high school. She also took on the role as the softball manager; a passion that carried on throughout her life. Kelly proudly graduated from Plymouth High School in 1995 and went on to earn her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Development from Ancilla College. From there, she spent some time as a nanny in Pennsylvania.
Kelly met Gregory Ricks through mutual friends and was united in marriage at St. Michael Catholic Church on June 16, 2007. They celebrated 18 years of marriage.
Those who knew Kelly will fondly remember her for her loving and caring heart. She cherished time spent with her family and always found joy in helping others. Whether it was helping someone in her role as the office manager at Standard Plumbing, Heating and A/C or doing the books at a softball game, Kelly truly enjoyed helping others.
On a Friday night you could find Kelly watching her favorite WWE wrestling match and when Sunday came around during football season, it was guaranteed she would be cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. She also enjoyed watching Jimmy Hendricks race in NASCAR races. Enjoying the finer things in life, Kelly was known for her collection of Coach Handbags.
Kelly will be sorely missed by her husband, Greg; son, Austin; mother, Cathy Hamann; brother, Brian (Brandi) Hamann and their children, Landyn, Jeremy and Lydia. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Geneva Bickerstaff along with her children, Doug (Kristi) Deon and Tracey Deon and their families. Kelly will be dearly missed by her close family friend, Lee Lovell.
She is preceded in death by her father, David Hamann.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, IN 46563. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Lauren Hall officiating.
Kelly will be laid to rest at Oakhill Cemetery in Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to the Marshall-Starke Development Center, 1901 Pidco Dr, Plymouth, IN 46563 or to the Marshall-Starke Special Olympics, PO Box 1104, Plymouth, IN 46563.
