Ken Faile Obituary
Helping others was his passion in life. He retired from the Department of Social Services after 38 years of service to the families in Lancaster County. He served as a supervisor in several departments in this agency. He was a member of the South Carolina Supervisors Services Association.
Ken was a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he earned a BA Degree. He loved all sports, especially the Carolina Gamecocks. He will be remembered for his kindness, his wonderful laughter, and his love for his family, especially his grandchildren.
Ken was a member of the Army National Guard, Headquarters Battery in Lancaster for six years. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Ken was a member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Lancaster where he had served as a Deacon.
Ken is survived by his wife, Mary Esther Faile; two sons, Dr. Kenneth "Kenny" M. Faile, and his wife, Jennifer of Florence, South Carolina, his two sons, Tom Faile and Mac Faile, both of Florence, South Carolina, and Jennifer's daughter, Taylor Hanna, and her husband, Carson, of Johnsonville, South Carolina, and Craig Boyce Faile, and his wife Amy of Charlotte, North Carolina, and their children, Nicholas, Jonathan, and Elizabeth Faile, all of Charlotte, North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Furman Jackson Faile, Sr, and Vivian Hinson Faile Taylor; and his three siblings, Furman Jackson Faile, Jr, Marian Faile Faulkenberry, and Barbara Faile Meadows.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Services for Mr. Faile will be held privately.
Memorials may be made to the Ken and Mary Esther Faile Endowed Scholarship Fund at the University of South Carolina Lancaster, PO Box 889, Lancaster, South Carolina 29721.
