Ken Allen Sims Obituary Ken Allen Sims, 58 of Hanna, Indiana passed away Friday, September 20, 2024.
Ken Allen was born December 6, 1965 in Laporte, IN to Arlene (Rinker) and Ken Sims.
Ken Allen is survived by his parents Arlene and Ken Sims of Hanna, IN; daughters Samantha (Kyle) Hinds of Walkerton, IN and twin sister Alivia (William) Wynn of Kasson, MN; significant other Shannon Graham and daughter Kaeleigh of Hanna, IN; 4 grandchildren Carter and Cooper Hinds, Jack Wynn, and Elise Graham; sister Kimberly Sims Maynard of Hanna, IN and brother Vernon (Jennifer) Sims of Hanna, IN
Ken Allen started his autobody work at the age of 16 with Russ Looney in Hanna, IN at Looneys Auto Body. His lifetime occupation has been dedicated to autobody repair and for the last 24 years he has worked for Team 150 in Laporte, IN. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and golfing. For the last 34 years he has enjoyed hosting Deer Camp at the Sims pole barn during deer season with his closest hunting buddies and family. And since 2016 he enjoyed his buddy Sarge, the cat, which was given to him by his niece Maddy under protest, and they since became best friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2-6 pm Friday, September 27, 2024 at Newhard Funeral Home 58 W. Walnut St. Westville, IN 46391.
A Celebration of Life will take place at The Sims Pole Barn immediately following the visitation at 2488 W 1250 S Hanna, IN on Friday September 27, 2024 at 6pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to go to an already established memorial for the Dannae Nichole Alm (DNA) scholarship at Ivy Tech. You can donate online by going to ivytech.edu, locations, select Valparaiso, donate, Valparaiso, under designations, green click here, Valparaiso, select the Dannae Nichole Alm (DNA) Nursing Scholarship.
