Ken Webster Obituary

Ken Webster Jr.

Peterborough, NH - Ken Webster Jr., 93 of Peterborough, NH passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, after a period of declining health. Ken was born in Boston, MA on March 10, 1932, to Kenneth Sr. and Helen (Estabrook) Webster. Ken grew up in Westwood, MA where he would meet the love of his life Lois Ciriello. Ken served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan at a radar site. Upon leaving service, he put himself through Northeastern University earning a degree in electrical engineering. Ken sold his boat to buy Lois a ring, they married on October 11, 1959, and settled in Westwood, MA. They had two children Paula and Ken III.

Ken always had a connection to the Monadnock area and in the 1980s they moved the family up to Temple, NH. It was his dream to live in the woods and it became a reality when he designed and helped build their new home. Always an avid outdoorsman, hunting, and fishing as often as possible, he also made time to hone his woodworking skills making beautiful pieces of furniture and overseeing many renovations. Ken worked for many years for Raytheon and was part of the team that designed the Patriot missile system. He would use his long commute to memorize lines for the Temple town plays he loved to participate in. Ken was also a member of the Temple Lyons Club and served a term as president.

Ken and Lois were never happier than when spending time with their three grandsons so much so that they didn't hesitate to follow Paula and family to NC and sell their dream home in Temple to be with their boys! When the Marines called the Sennett's away, NH beckoned Ken and Lois and they returned to Peterborough where they remain to this day. Ken's absence will be felt most keenly by Lois, his constant companion and partner in everything for 65 years. He will be deeply missed by his children and their families; Paula and Peter Sennett and their sons Will and Tom; and Ken III, fiancé Vicki and Ken's son Ethan. Plans for burial and a celebration of Ken Jr.'s life are being made for May.
