Kendra Nicole Locke

Kendra Nicole Locke, age 21 years of 221 South High Street, Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Friday February 8, 2008 at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN. from injures she sustained in an automobile accident on Saturday, February 2, 2008. She was born on January 29, 1987 in Marion, Indiana. Her parents are Ken & Sina Locke of Warsaw, IN. and Teresa & Craig Tolley of San Diego, CA. On Labor Day, 2001 she was in a severe car accident and suffered a severe brain trauma injury. The accident happened her freshman year in High School so she struggled through classes to graduate. She had to drop out of sports and suffered severe headaches at times. In 2005 she graduated from Warsaw Community High School. She attended Warsaw Community Church and was a volunteer for the Salvation Army. Determined to be on her own she got her driver's license and eventually moved into her own apartment. She enjoyed being with her friends and spending time "chillin" Kendra loved Tigers. She collected Tiger figures and loved to watch anything on TV or movies about them. When she was little I called her "Little Tiger" because she was full of life. She could cuddle up with you at one moment and then scratch you if she didn't get her way. We miss Kendra. There is a void in our lives that will never be replaced, however, we are not without hope. 1 Peter 1:3-9 "3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 5 who through faith are shielded by God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
