Kenneth Earl Bain, of Charlotte (formerly of Sanford), passed away, Monday, August 25, 2025.

He was born on October 16, 1956 to Earl Bain and Catherine Norris Bain. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and son Kenneth Darrell Bain. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters Wanda Bain (Steven), Crystal Hall (Anthony); sister Rebecca Reed (Scott); brother James Ronald Bain (Tammy); grandchildren Phillip, Christian, Cameron, Landon, Devon, Brooklyn, Hannah, Ava and great-grandchild Raylen.

Kenneth was a man whose life was defined by service, and sincerity. He had a commitment to hard work during his 20-year career at Allied/Performance Fibers, earning the respect of colleagues and friends alike. As a deputy for both the Lee and Chatham County Sheriff's Departments, he served his community with unwavering dedication and integrity.

But Kenneth was more than his titles-he was a man of deep passions and generous spirit. A devoted Duke Blue Devils fan, he cheered with pride and loyalty, never missing a chance to support his team. He found joy in the outdoors, whether it was hunting in the quiet woods, spending time with animals, or soaking up the sun and salt air at the beach.

Kenneth had a gift for connection. He never met a stranger, and his magnetic personality made everyone feel like family. His laughter was contagious, his stories unforgettable, and his presence comforting. He was the kind of person who made gatherings feel like celebrations.

One of his greatest joys was grilling for his loved ones. Whether it was a backyard cookout or a simple Sunday meal, Kenneth brought people together with food, laughter, and love. He didn't just grill-he created memories.

Kenneth leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and warmth. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in every smile he inspired, every story he shared, and every life he touched.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Lee's Chapel Church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Robert Thomas officiating. Kenneth's cremains will be buried in the church cemetery at a later date with a private family gathering.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Lee's Chapel Church, 1135 Lee's Chapel Road, Sanford, NC 27330.
