Kenneth Delmar Benson, Age 101, passed away peacefully on December 25th 2025 in
Bemidji MN.
Born to Roy and Ruby Benson in Braham MN on August 11, 1924. Ken attended
Rosemount High School before enlisting in the U.S. Navy and serving in the South
Pacific from 1943 through 1946 during WWII.
Ken returned home and met Vivian (Hoops) of Stillwater MN, his wife of over 76 years.
He worked for West Publishing Company and was proud to have been part of the
company for 39 years before retiring in 1987 as Manager of the Law Book Bindery
Department.
Ken and Vivian lived in St. Paul MN while raising their two children, Lynn and Brad, then
after retirement enjoyed spending time in Florida and at multiple homes around the Twin
City area. After spending 17 years in Chaska, they have spent the last 3 years at
Windsong Senior Living in Bemidji.
Ken was so incredibly proud of his family. He loved his children and grandchildren so
very much! He is survived by his wife Vivian, daughter Lynn Nylander,(Brad), Baudette
MN and son Brad Benson (Suzanne), Eden Prairie, MN., 4 grandchildren, Kyle
Nylander (Jacy), Brett Nylander (Andreana), Alyssa Lorenzen (Tyler) and Andrew
Benson (Cali), and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brothers Milner,
Harold and Robert, as well as sister Donna Mae.
Always in our hearts, his smile, wit and love will be forever missed.
