Kenneth Berg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lewis Funeral Chapel - Fort Smith on Mar. 9, 2026.
Kenneth Dean Berg Sr., age 72, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, at his home in Booneville, Arkansas. He was born on March 24, 1953 in buffalo, New York to Ruth Berg.

Kenneth worked for many years in information technology support, where he was known for his dedication and reliability. In his free time, Kenneth enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, activities that brought him both relaxation and enjoyment. He was also an avid firearms enthusiast and greatly appreciated the skill, responsibility, and tradition associated with the sport.

Kenneth was a man of Christian faith. Those who knew him will remember him most for his kind and generous spirit. He was the type of person who would never hesitate to help someone in need and was always willing to offer a helping hand, a word of encouragement, or quiet support to those around him. His caring nature and willingness to put others before himself will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Kenneth is survived by one son, Kenny Berg Jr. and fiance Ashley Goff; one daughter, Dawn Ritchie; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Stock; one sister, Tracy Karan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his mother, Ruth Berg; as well as two brothers, Brian and Craig.

There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the careful direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Ken, my friend, selfishly I wish you hadn´t had to leave us so soon. I treasured your friendship. I´m glad our paths crossed and thankful we became friends, and will miss our near daily messages and conversations. You were more like a part of my family than just a friend. Your funny, gentle, kind and caring spirit set you apart. I know you are rejoicing now. Prayers for comfort for your family and loved ones in the days ahead. You will be missed.

Very sorry to hear this information. Kenny Berg a classmate of 1972, Holland, New York. We were brought up and raised on the same road about 1 mile apart. Kenny lived with his grandparents and they brought him up as well. One of my biggest days was when mom and dad allowed me to ride my bicycle all the way to Kenny´s house.. It was on S. Protection Road. We would spend Saturday days and Sunday afternoons, sometimes riding bikes, sometimes hiking in the back area, sometimes trout fishing every spring and a little creek behind his place. I saw him catch several trout much bigger than mine. His grandparents had a red delicious apple tree in their front yard. It produced the sum of the best taste in red delicious apples I´d ever had. I was never able to visit after Kenny moved to Arkansas but met back on FB. Kenny, you were always such a great friend.. fishing partner, bicycle rider with partnership. You were a good friend. May you rest in peace I know your life`s been wonderful. I know you had a big family backing you all the way. Our condolences to the family, as my wife Cathy was also a classmate. Kenny Berg you will be missed..
