Obituary:
Ken passed into the loving arms of Jesus, peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at
Heritage Crossing surrounded by his loved ones.
Kenneth was born in Fresno CA on May 22, 1937 to Keith and Emma Blair. He moved
with his family to Visalia CA at the age of 3. He attended grammar school then
graduated from Mt. Whitney High School in 1955.
He worked at a filling station during high school for Bert and Olin Lane. He joined the
United States Navy in 1956. After serving in the Navy he worked for McGraw Edison,
here he met his lifelong business partner and bought the Mobil Station on the corner of
Mineral King and Mooney in 1968. In 1977 Ken and his business partner bought Cesares
Visalia Service Center. After retiring in 2003, Ken loved working with his hands. He
made beautiful wooden crosses, rebar hooks and crosses and whatever he set his mind
too. Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman. One of his favorite spots was Lake Wishon.
He loved going out of state to hunt with his buddies. He worked in his yard daily
keeping it beautiful. He also enjoyed his adventures while traveling in the motor home.
He will be missed dearly. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara
Grant.
Ken leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Carolyn; children Lezlie Blair of
Woodlake, Melinda Woods (John) of Montana, Nancy Stidman (Ben) of Visalia, Jim
(Johnna) Jones of Visalia, Carrie (John) Jones of Visalia and Julie (Shamus) Bettencourt
of Visalia. Ken is also survived by his brother, Jay (Shirley) Blair of Las Vegas NV and
numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
