Kenneth R. Blood, 91 of Vernon, VT passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Vernon Green Nursing Home. He was born in Putney, VT on April 13, 1922; the son of the late Reuben and Elsie (Fuller) Blood.

Kenneth served is country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a machinist for American Optical and later for Putney Paper Mill before his retirement. He loved the outdoors, including camping, riding his motorcycle and bicycling.
He is predeceased by his wife, Irene (Kramer) Blood in 2007.

He is survived by a son, Kenneth C. Blood; six daughters, Karen Vose, Khristine Clement, Kathleen Amidon, Carolyn Lonergan, Dorothea Coutu and, Irene Hebert; two sisters, Mary (Blood) Aiken and Dorothy (Blood) Conklin; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial talk will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 2PM at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall, 19 Edward Heights, Brattleboro, VT. Burial will be held in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Putney, VT. The KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
