Kenneth Joseph Bouvier Sr., born in New Orleans, LA on September 6, 1940, and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the age of 84 surrounded by family. Mr. Bouvier lived in Gretna, LA.
Kenneth is the beloved husband of 64 years to Shirely Plaisance Bouvier. Loving father of the late Kim B. Landry (Ricky), Kenneth Bouvier Jr. (Lori), Shelly “Squirt” B. Duthu (Brian) and Kelly B. Toups (Bruce). Loving grandfather Sarah D. Guernsey (Brandon), Sadie Duthu-Glover (Colin), Darian M. Bouvier (Michael), Sydney D Joiner (Brady), Macey M. Boudreaux (Nick), Zachary P. Bouvier, Chrystie Callhoun (Metta) and Stephanie G. Huling (Chris). Great grandfather of Waylon J. Guernsey, Genevieve R. Glover, Brynleigh M. Joiner, Ryder Huling, Preston Huling and Beaux Huling. Son of the late Anita H. Bouvier and Sidney J. Bouvier. He was the loving brother of Karen B. Joia and Susan B. Capedeville and brother-in-law to Gary P. Plaisance (Judy). Godfather of Kay “Rosebud” C. Autin and Hope J. McDonald. Adopted brother of Laron Calhoun (Carol).
Kenneth served in the Army National Guard for 8 years and then worked at Lockheed Martin for 40+ years where he retired as Chief of Facilities. He was a member of the Terrytown Volunteer Fire Department for 50 years where he served as Vice President. He enjoyed woodworking, crafting and going to craft shows with his wife, but he loved was spending time with his family
His funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21 at St Joseph Church, 610 6th Street, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, and the funeral service will begin at 10:00 am. Interment to be private.
