Kenneth Ray Brodie, Jr. was born in Monroe, Louisiana on August 13, 1953 and he passed away on Sunday morning November 16, 2025 at his home in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. Ken was a lifelong member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Mer Rouge serving faithfully for many years on the church Vestry and Altar Guild. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Jamie Sanderlin Brodie and Kenneth Ray Brodie.
Ken is survived by his partner, Jack Randal (Randy) Gunter; his sister, Margaret Tracey Philley and her husband Lannie B. Philley; nephews, Christopher Bowden Davis and his wife Stephanie Leigh York, and Shelton Brodie Davis; niece, Sara Philley Edwards and her husband Jon Edwards, and their children, Amos Edwards, Pace Edwards, and Townes Edwards.
A time of visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Mer Rouge Louisiana followed by Memorial Services at 11:00 AM at the church with Reverend Dawnell Stodghill officiating. Committal services will be at held 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 19th, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church Columbarium, 2816, Deborah Drive, Monroe, Louisiana 71201 under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
