Obituary of Kenneth Kurt Brooker
Ken Brooker, age 73, left his earthly body on the evening of Monday, January 27th, 2025. He fought hard through many serious illnesses to stay with his family over the years. However, he was at peace with the call of his spirit when the time came, surrounded by his wife and daughter and the love of his family.
Ken was born in California and moved as a young child to Des Moines, Iowa, where he grew up. He attended college at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He had a successful career with Proctor and Gamble for many years, also with Intermec and then moved with his wife, Wendy, to Oklahoma and finished his career as a Project Manager with Wells Fargo.
Ken spent his life focusing on providing for his family, pursuing and finishing his Masters degree and staying up to date with his Project Management certification. He loved sharing cool stories of his rocker adventures, international trips, family ancestry, antics with his fur-kids and ambition beyond words. His loss in our world will be acutely felt.
Ken was preceded in death by his father Bruce, mother Hope, and older brother Ron. His memory and passions live on strong in his wife Wendy and her family, his daughter Meagnon (Rob) Wilson and their family, his oldest brother Bruce and his family, his youngest brother Charles (Nancy) Schaefer and their family and his extended family, cousins and friends.
At his request, no formal memorial will be held. Please honor his memory by donating to your local Animal Rescue League, becoming an organ donor, supporting adult learning and listening to music that brings joy to your soul.
