In Loving Memory of Kenneth P. Brown

Kenneth P. Brown, age 61, of Fairview Heights, IL passed away Saturday September 27, 2025 at St. Ann Assisted Living Facility.

Born on December 18, 1963 in East St. Louis, Kenny was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep commitment to his family. Kenny never met a stranger and could strike up a friendly conversation no matter who was around. He found joy in the simple things: a cold Mountain Dew, Sunday dinners with family, a competitive game of Uno, and calling his son to talk about sports on TV. His greatest joy was his family, whom he loved fiercely and unconditionally.

He was preceded in death by is mother, Mary Ann Brown nee Jones; father, John K. Brown; and brother, Michael Brown.

He leaves behind a son, John P (Taylor) Brown and grandchildren Dallas, Makenzie, Levi, Adalynn, and Reese; stepmother, Laurie Brown nee McDermott; brother, Kevin Brown; sister, Kelsey (Eric) Stott; stepsister, Jill Gibson; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.

A potluck Celebration of Life will be held on October 9 at Swansea Improvement Association from 12-3pm. Donations may be made to The Salvation Army, in honor of Kenny's generous spirit. And as Kenny would always end any conversation, "Merry Christmas!"
