Kenneth Bucci Obituary

Published by Teague Funeral Service from Sep. 2 to Sep. 3, 2013.
Kenneth Paul Bucci Kenneth Paul Bucci, 45, and a native of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home in Ivy, Virginia, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Kenneth is survived by his parents, Richard and Beverly Bucci of Palmyra, Virginia; his sister, Connie Trider of Montecito, California; his loving wife of 15 years, Susan, a nurse at the University of Virginia Medical Center, and their two wonderful children, Bridgett (13) and Breeze (11). Kenneth was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and the Cecil B Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis. Upon earning his law degree and passing the Virginia bar, he became an attorney with the law firm of McClure, Callahan, and Atkins. He has served hundreds of clients over the past 15 years. Kenneth will be sorely missed by the many people whose life he touched. He was a wonderful son that made his parents very proud and a loving husband and father. Never one to judge or complain, Ken was always more concerned about the happiness and comfort of others rather than himself. A longtime physical fitness devotee, Kenneth spent many hours at Gold's gym in Charlottesville. A fighter to the end, he volunteered for experimental therapies knowing that the likelihood of success would be small but hoping to contribute to medical advances that may finally bring a cure to this dreaded disease. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Prichard, oncologist at Martha Jefferson Hospital, for all of his efforts on Ken's behalf and for his comfort and support during this difficult time. The family would also like to extend an invitation to his friends and associates for a Celebration of Kenneth's life at the Boar's Head Inn on Thursday, September 5, 2013, from 5 until 9 p.m. in the Terrace room. Family and friends may sign the guest registry at TeagueFuneralHome.com.

To Susan and Family
I am saddened by the news of Ken's Death! I interacted with him for many years at Gold's Gym, and at his office with Clifton McClure. Ken is the same age as my son, Charles, who is also an attorney! Life was cut too short for Ken Bucci.

Ken was one of the most genuine, honest, caring, artistic and thoughtful person that I have ever known. He made you a better man just by being around him. Without any effort or even knowing what he was doing, he made you want to be more
like him. I am sorry that I did not do a better job over the years of keeping in touch with such a wonderful person but we were in different places so to speak. You will never be forgotten and we are all better people simply because at one point, you were a part of our lives. For that, we are eternally grateful. Thank you Ken Bucci. One of a kind.
