Kenneth Eugene Chase, 99, of Sabetha, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Sabetha Manor in Sabetha.

Kenneth was born on November 7, 1925, in Wetmore, Kansas, to Orville and Ola (Mapes) Chase. In his younger years, he worked as a truck driver. He served in the United States Army in World War II. Kenneth had a sparkling personality and will be deeply missed by his family.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marjorie “Darlene” (Pyle) Chase; his sister, Vera Brock; his brother, Loren Chase; and his stepdaughter, Patty Peterson.

Kenneth is survived by his four children, Carolyn Wolthusen of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Peggy Iniquez of Sabetha, Patricia Monfore of Tucson, Arizona, and Bill Chase of Bensenville, Illinois; his two stepchildren, Rick (Debbie) Frederick of Sabetha and Linda (Bob) Auxier of Lincoln, Nebraska; his five grandchildren, Amy (Alan) Schmuck, Shelley (Eric) Hendrickson, Stephanie Iniquez, Sarah Iniquez, and Joe Szmuc; his 14 great-grandchildren; his six step-grandchildren; his step-great-grandchildren; and his brother, Lyle Chase of Union Nebraska.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sabetha Cemetery.
