Kenneth Lee Colyer , age 81, of Osgood, passed away surrounded by family on March 23, 2025, at the University of Cincinnati Hospital.
He was born on April 19, 1943, in Independence, Kentucky, the son of the late Kenneth and Iolet (Ball) Colyer. After graduating from high school, Kenny proudly served in the United States Air Force. Upon returning home from the military, he helped manage his family's business after the passing of his father. Kenny later pursued his passion as a machinist and fabricator, which led to a career spanning 39 years at Batesville Casket, from which he retired in 2008.
Throughout his life, Kenny was known for his love of working on vehicles, his knack for telling jokes (many of which are still remembered by those who heard them), and his ability to always make time to sit and talk with family and friends. He was willing to help others whenever he could, especially when he was feeling well. He was also a strong supporter of Donald Trump.
In 1995, Kenny’s life was forever changed when he married Felie Catong. Together, they built a beautiful life and welcomed two children, Harley and Sammy. They recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. Kenny was a familiar face at the Whistle Stop in Osgood, where he enjoyed swapping stories with his buddies.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Felie; sons, Harley (Danielle) and George; daughters, Mona, Tina (John) Immenhort, and Sammy (Ahmed); brothers, Wesley (Rita) Colyer and Donny Colyer; as well as numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, with funeral services at 4:00 PM. Military honors will be presented by the Osgood American Legion.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
