Mr. Kenneth Scott “Ken” Dunkel, age 56, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025.
Ken was born on March 8, 1968, in Flint, Michigan, to Nelson & Carole Dunkel. He was raised in Millington and graduated from Millington High School with the Class of 1986 and played football. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served for 10 ½ years as an aviation ordnanceman. He enjoyed playing darts and cards, watching NASCAR, camping, and had a deep interest in ancient aliens.
He is survived by his mother, Carole (Doug) Chirich; father, Nelson Dunkel; children: Trisha, Alissa, and Karma; grandchildren: Ben, Elena, Richard; wife, Shamra; siblings: Brian (Bobbie) Dunkel, Tammy Dunkel, and Nicholas (Theresa) Dunkel, two step-sisters Andrea Chirish and Melissa Chirish; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
