Kenny Essner, son of Gussie (Hagan) Essner and the late William Essner was born on May 16, 1964 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Mercy Southeast Healthcare in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 61 years.
He was a former employee of Wal-Mart Super Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
Along with his mother, Gussie Essner of Jackson, survivors include one brother, Michael (Laura) Essner of Shawneetown, Missouri, by one niece, Janelle (Caleb) McDaniel; great-nieces and nephew, Addison, Miller, and Sadie McDaniel all of Whiteman Air Force Base; nephew, Blake Beaven of Oran; great-nieces, Kooper and Rhemi of Oran; also, by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 9:00 until service time at 9:30 AM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Prayer Service will then begin at 9:30 with Rev. Tom Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
