Randall Wayne Armstrong, son of the late Dewey T. Armstrong Sr. and Virgina Mae (Suter) Armstrong was born on October 6, 1954 in Nashville, Tennessee and departed his life on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 71 years.
He worked for Ameren Power Company for over 30 years and retired in 2016. Randall was an avid fisherman and spent much of his time outdoors.
When he wasn’t outdoors, you could find him at home with his family. He especially enjoyed sharing his love of cooking with them.
He enjoyed eating circus peanuts while watching cartoons with his great-grandson Waylon.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diana Miller Armstrong and their two sons, Richard (Natalie) Armstrong of Jackson and Steven (Teresa) Armstrong of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren; Chelsea, Joshua, Olivia, Christian, Emery, and Axel; one great-grandson, Waylon; one brother, Dewey Armstrong Jr. (Amy) of Ohio; and one sister, Jan Burgess of Tennessee.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel is assisting with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Samaritan’s Purse: www.samaritanspurse.org
