Kenneth Facemyer Obituary

DELAND - Kenneth Houston "Kenny" Facemyer, 88, passed away Feb. 6, 2026. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
Born Jan. 1, 1938, in Pocatalico, West Virginia, Kenny began his life in the heart of Appalachia. His family moved to Mount Vernon, Ohio, when he was 7 years old. He pursued his high-school education at Mount Vernon Academy, which laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication and service.
Throughout his career, Kenny demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment to every task he undertook. He applied his skills across several organizations, including Loma Linda Foods and City Laundry, and as an owner of an HVAC company. In each role, he was known for his hard work, reliability and willingness to lend a hand wherever needed.
He was a devoted member of Seventh-day Adventist Hill Church in Mount Vernon. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life and shaped many of his actions and decisions.
Kenny is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannie Facemyer; his son, Ken Facemyer and his wife, Pam Facemyer; his son, Rod Facemyer and his wife, Stella Facemyer; his daughter, Kathy Anderson and her husband, Jim Anderson; and his sister Shirley Lepley; five grandchildren, Evan Anderson, Rodney Facemyer, Cara Clay, Jared Facemyer and Riley Facemyer; and five great-grandchildren, Lexi, Sydney, Addison, Charlotte and James.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Hattie Facemyer; his sisters Helen Griffen, Ann Crouse, Mildred Counts, Wilma Ferguson, Anna Belle Clark, Selba Jean Watt and Esther O'Byrne; and his brother, Larry Facemyer.
Those who knew Kenny recall his generosity and strength. His presence left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
