KENNETH FRAIL Obituary

FRAIL, Kenneth Alan It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing, on November 29, of Kenneth Alan Frail, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Born in Newton, Ken was the son of the late Donald P. Frail and Elizabeth S. Frail. He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Eileen Mary (Grella) Frail; his four sons, Charles, Stephen, Chris and Brian; and seven grandchildren who brought him immense joy and happiness. Ken was a long-time resident of Newton, where he was an active member of the community and a dedicated parishioner. He was a graduate of Newton High School and the University of Massachusetts. He was an active member of the Central Congregationalist Church in Newtonville for many years and cherished that community. Professionally, Ken dedicated his entire career to the United States Census Bureau, where he was recognized for his diligence and commitment. He served with honor in the U.S. Army Reserves, achieving the status of marksman. Ken was a true gentleman and a gentle man, known for his kindness and integrity. He had a deep love for his family, his church and his hometown. A passionate sports fan, he was a devoted supporter of the Boston sports teams and especially the Celtics. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 6, at 11 am, at Second Church in Newton United Church in Christ to Celebrate Ken's Life. Visitation will be held at Magni Funeral Home, in NEWTON, Thursday, December 5, from 4 to 7 pm. The family respectively requests that no flowers be sent and that those wishing to honor Ken do so by making a donation to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Andrew J. So very kind, caring, fair-minded and a true gentleman ~ that's how I will always remember Ken from my years at the Census Bureau.
To his loving family, may the memories of the best of times bring you healing, comfort and peace.

I first met Ken in 1962 when I was a sophomore and Ken a senior at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

That "forever friendship" has lasted all these years.....so many memories, so true a friend, and Best Man at my wedding.... I'm saddened to learn that Ken has now passed.

Our prayers and deepest sympathy go out to you, Eileen, and to all his family and friends.

And as a fellow military veteran, I extend a "hand salute" to you, Ken, in recognition of your military service to our Country. May you now rest in peace, my dear friend.

Our hugs to you, Eileen, as we mourn your loss.
