Kenneth Fuchs Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 12, 2024.

Kenneth Boyd Fuchs, 70, of Owensboro, KY passed away on Thursday December 5, 2024 after a courageous battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease. He was born on February 28, 1954, in Evansville, Indiana.

Ken was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Allen Fuchs; his brothers, Norman Fuchs and James Fuchs; and his parents, Alma Ilene (Madden) Fuchs and Norman Ray Fuchs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Norma Jean (Hayden) Fuchs; his five children, Becky Lindy, Justin Fuchs, Kristen Fuchs, Andrew Fuchs; five grandchildren, Megan Hodges, Ashley Hodges, Kelsey Cope, Madison Bryant, and Nicholas Cook; and four great grandchildren, Easton, Kade, Aris, and Abram.

He is also survived by his siblings: Greg Fuchs, Cherie May, Susan Strange, Brian "Joey" Fuchs, Danny Fuchs, and along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He enjoyed racing, cooking, fishing, hosting large barbecues for family and friends, listening to music and going to concerts.

He was a member of Brushy Fork Baptist Church.

Ken was a proud union organizer and steward, who passionately championed workers' rights throughout his career. He retired as a Superintendent, specializing in concrete work and Heavy Highway Construction, for Laborers International Union of North America (LiUNA), Local 561, in Evansville, IN.

Ken's generous nature extended far beyond his career. He was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. He loved to work, loved to help, and was respected and admired by everyone who knew him. Ken never met a stranger-his love for socializing, his gift for conversation, and his warm spirit made him a beloved figure to all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
