Kenneth Gray Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Alvin Gray Jr. passed away peacefully Friday, April 18, 2025, at approximately 3:50 a.m., in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a 21-month illness, with his family by his side. He was a son of the late Kenneth Alvin Gray Sr. and Erma May Holmes Gray. Kenny was adventurous and curious his entire life. He was an all-around great man, who would do anything for anyone. He loved spending time at family cookouts and holidays. He cherished all the time he spent with his loved ones. He lived to laugh and be goofy and make people smile. He loved animals, fishing, taking off-course country back road scenic routes and gun collecting. He was a movie buff and jokester. He was that gentleman that did anything unexpected to bring a smile to the face of those he loved. Kenny worked in construction all his adult life. Though he loved his work, it gave him greater pleasure seeing homeowners adoring his finished products. A jack-of-all-trades, there wasn't anything he couldn't do. Though mostly a quiet man, nothing really worried him outside of living a happy life, with his friendly, upbeat look on life, no matter what he was going through. Kenny made friends wherever he went, even up until the end. He wore his smile so warm and honest it even made his blue eyes smile. "Kenny smile" as his fiancee called it. Kenny will be missed greatly by those he held close to his heart, and him to theirs. He is survived by his one true love, his best friend and fiancee of five years, Kimberly Crouse, who has been by his side through his entire journey from start to finish. She cared for Kenny both at home and during lengthy hospitalizations, up until the end. There was nothing they wouldn't do for one another. Kenny will be missed by his furry, spoiled companions "Piper" and "Taco", who remain at home. Also surviving are four sisters, Becky (Gaspar) Diaz, Diana (Bill Loar) Barnhart, Patty Cogniet, and Debbie (Jim) Bebout; his stepchildren, Jesse (Amber) Crouse, and Sara (Louie) Crouse; his mother- in-law, Nancy Robertson; father-in-law, Joe (Mary Kay) Robertson; nieces, Kristy Arce, Ashley Loar, Jamacia McCombs, Alisyn Leech, Tina Coginet and Hannah Bebout; nephews, Ryan (Dana) Gray, Randy (Tiffany) Bebout, Barron Johnson Jr. and Gavin Bebout; and many cousins. Preceding him in death were aunts and uncles; paternal grandparents; maternal grandparents; and a stepgranddaughter, Payton Lee Crouse. At the request of the deceased, arrangements are private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd.
