Kenneth Gullikson, 80, of Wagner

Kenneth Gullikson, age 80, passed away on February 12, 2026 at the Lake Andes Senior Living Center in Lake Andes. He was born on January 9, 1946, to Lorene (Schmidt) Gullikson and Thomas Edward Gullikson.

Kenneth graduated from Flandreau Indian School in 1964, marking the beginning of a life defined by service, dedication, and quiet strength.

For most of his professional life, Kenneth worked for the Indian Health Service as an optometrist technician. Through his work, he touched countless lives, providing care with professionalism.

Kenneth enjoyed watching sports, with a special passion for University of Nebraska Husker football. He found great joy in cheering on his team and sharing those moments with family and friends.

He is survived by his sister, Evelyn Yanez; his daughter, Heather Rouse; four grandchildren: Echo Rouse, Blair Jumping Elk, Leon Jumping Elk, and Mia Jumping Elk; and 11 great-grandchildren: Mason, Cooper, Jax, Justin, Wyatt, Avah, Teagan, Bronson, Eloide, Marli Gemma and Maizy.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Lorene and Thomas Gullikson, and his wife, Peggy Gullikson.

Kenneth Gullikson will be remembered for his love of the Nebraska Huskers, and the quiet love he carried for those around him. His legacy lives on in the generations he leaves behind and in the many lives he helped along the way.
