"Ken and I were in the Class of '63.. We sat near each other in many classes, because at that time, we were seated alphabetically and I was Havlik, and he was Hardtke. I enjoyed our friendship during that time. Our son, Randy, was in Boy Scouts, so he also got to know Ken. Sympathy and prayers your way." Sharon and Don Van Ark. Oconto Falls, WI June 26, 2021.

We have known Ken because he is our son Todd's father-in-law, but we have always been impressed with his abilities, his outlook on life, and his willingness to share his talents with others. He will be missed by so many, and we offer our condolences to his family and friends.

Ken built railings on my parents porch as they grew older and needed that support. Mary is my cousin. Sending my sympathy to all members of his family of this wonderful man.

I was a recipient of Ken's kindness. We live a couple houses down the road from Ken and Mary in Roberts. After building our house Ken offered us spruce trees from his front yard...after I eventually killed those tree's off due to my ignorance he got his tractor out and helped me transplant more spruce trees from our other neighbors (Dave) house. Even though he was already suffering from neuropathy in his feet he drove that tractor like a pro and made quick work of putting those tree's in the ground. And with his advice I was able to keep those tree's growing and thriving. I really will miss having conversations with him about his life on the farm and enjoyed him showing me around his mini farm museum in his pole barn. Ken you will be missed terribly by Paula and I. Your memory will live on in those trees in my yard and the knowledge you gave me when we had a chance to talk.
