Breaux Bridge- A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, November 09, 2023 at Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge for Kenneth E. Harrington, 80, who passed away on November 5, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Thursday from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Pastor Ken Leleux will officiate at the funeral service.
Burial will follow at Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery.
Kenneth was born October 25, 1943, in Rayne. Kenneth achieved great milestones and contributed to various aspects of his community. He honorably served in the United States National Guard. He was involved in the State Rice Council for many years, a past president and member of the Lyon's Club of Breaux Bridge, and a member of the USFA Board within the US Department of Agriculture. His expertise and dedication to the agricultural industry had a lasting impact on those within the field.
He had a love for the outdoors and hunting deer. In his younger years, he enjoyed drag racing, even winning a few trophies! Kenneth enjoyed dining out at restaurants and eating delicious food with dear friends and family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his brother, Chris C. Harrington; niece and nephews, John Roy (Patti), Kevin Roy (Sherri), Ashley Harrington, and Micah Harrington (Laura).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lena Roy Harrington; sister, Barbara Harrington Roy; and niece, Sherri Barton.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Roy, John Roy, Mickey Myers, Burt Guidry, Jay Broussard, and Spencer Roy.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
