Kenneth A. Heal, 79, of East Longmeadow, MA., passed away peacefully on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born on June 8, 1945, in Worcester, MA, Kenneth was the cherished son of Walter and Lucy (Lumb) Heal.
Kenneth grew up in West Springfield, MA., as one of seven siblings. For over 50 years, East Longmeadow was his home, where he built a life centered on family, service, and community. A proud veteran, Kenneth honorably served his country in the United States Navy.
Kenneth was the owner and operator of K & S Radiator Services of Springfield, a business that became a hallmark of his commitment to excellence and service. Beyond his professional achievements, he found great joy in life's simpler pleasures-bowling, boating, fishing, and canoeing, especially alongside his beloved wife, Charlotte. Together, they created a life filled with love and laughter during their 51 years of marriage until Charlotte's passing in 2020.
Kenneth will be remembered for his immense generosity, his steady presence, and the unwavering love he had for his family. . He is survived by his son, Christopher Heal of Somers; his daughter, Carrie Johnson, her husband Matt, and their daughter Megan, Kenneth's treasured granddaughter, of Southampton, MA; his siblings, Tracy Heal, Nancy Garwacki, and JoAnne Heal; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends. He is now reunited with his parents, Walter and Lucy, his siblings James, Walter, and Gordon Heal, and his beloved Charlotte. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 4 - 6 pm at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main st, Somers.
