I have known Ken for so many years. My husband Joe did a hour on his show around 2008. My husband goes around the house singing "Ken Held on the radio its time for the Ken Held show". Will really miss him.

I never met Ken though I felt as though I knew him...my parents moved to Delray Beach, FL in the 1980´s and one Sunday night while visiting them from Upstate NY, I turned on the radio and there on Magic 102.7 I found Ken and his " Doo-Wop Shop"...I was mesmerized as doo-wop music was and is my passion and here was a DJ with a fantastic personality and incredible knowledge of the music I loved...I taught my folks how to record Ken´s show on cassette tapes and send them to me each week ....his shows were magical and ultimately I was able to listen to Ken and Jen on the Internet...my deepest condolences go out to his son, Seth, his love, Jen and all his family and friends...Ken will be deeply missed...may his memory forever be a blessing

I grew up listening to Ken when he was on Majic 102.7 in South Florida and later I had the pleasure of producing his radio show, The Doo Wop Shop, on 1040 WLVJ and later 850 WFTL. I worked with Kenny for nearly 15 years and everything I learned about the first generation of rock and roll music, I learned from him. My deepest sympathies to Jen and Seth.

How very sad. Kenny and I were friends during our time at Lawrence High School. We had many fun times together and always a lot of laughs. A very lovely man whose absence will be felt by many. RIP

Knew Kenny well in H.S. Loved talking and kidding around with him. He was only one of a very few who signed my yearbook. He and his long running show will be missed. My sincerest condolences to his family and everyone who knew him.
