HICKMOTT, Kenneth – of Birch Run, age 79, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Paul Holland officiating. Private burial to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 12PM until the time of service at 2PM. Those desiring may purchase flowers or gifts for the family from the Country Mouse Flowers and Gifts in Millington or may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.

Ken was born on December 4, 1945, in Owosso, to the late Kenneth and Ila (Schroeder) Hickmott. He graduated from New Lothrop High School with the class of 1965 and honorably served in the United States Marine Corp overseas during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, Ken worked at General Motors for over 30 years. He married his beloved wife, Mary Ann Sywyk, on September 11, 1976, and together they shared 49 years of marriage. Kenneth was an avid member of the Mid-Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association and attended the annual tractor shows for many years. Above all, Ken loved his family dearly.

Kenneth is forever loved by: Wife, Mary Ann Hickmott; Children: Kenneth (Phyllis) Hickmott, Jr. and Adam (Sherry) Hickmott; Grandchildren: Shadoe (Aaron) Buckner, Amanda Hickmott, Kenneth Hickmott, and Baby Boy due September 2025; Great Grandson, Rowan; Sisters-in-law: Patsy Hickmott and Mary Hickmott; Several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and wonderful friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by: Parents, Kenneth and Ila; Brothers: Carl, John, and Norm.
